Life is beautiful
There are days when you are sad and then there are days when you are just happy... A simple pure state of happiness… Everything around you seems to be working well… Not extra-ordinary... but just nice... Normal…
The day is just right – not too sunny not but not too gloomy… You wake up just on time to get ready, do your prayers, looking in the mirror you think – I manage to look nice today :)… You walk out to go to office… The news-paper stand has the newspaper you want… he smiles as usual, you smile back… you see some more smiling faces… you don’t need to know their names… but you know they live here somewhere… the sense of familiarity makes you feel good :)… you manage to catch the bus you want…you have enough change for the bus ticket, get a place to sit and reach office on time.. 9.30 dot….
Then there are phone calls, emails… some stressed, some meaningless, some hard to answer, some easy … but then eventually you go about doing your job…
Taking the last sip of coffee just before you leave from office, you look out the canteen window and see the beautiful sun shining just before it sets behind the tall buildings… and looking back you realize… that was one satisfying day! You have managed to finish your to-do list… did some additional things which are going to make some of your job easier tomorrow and you still have some time to spare before you catch a bus back… :)
If you still catch that 6 o’clock bus you can just make it in time to rest for 5 mins on your bed before you start making dinner. Add to it a friendly ‘hello’ mail or a ‘good job’ one liner from someone you admire and your day is made…
Simple, selfless demands of a working woman and days like these that are hard to come by :) :) :)
